prefaced the Term commands below with "sudo" and restarted - only stopped Mail from disabling the MAO (and MailTag) bundles, but neither actually functioned

System Info:1.67MHz G4 PB, 2GB RAM, OS10.5.1 (clean install on new drive - no legacy programs)
