Up until I upgraded to Leopard - Filechute worked flawlessly and was a excellent application.
Since upgrading to leopard - I have not been able to uplead large files (300-500mb) and now the application will not even launch.
I am uploading to my .Mac account and there is plenty of Bandwidth/memory available.
When this gets fixed This will again be a 5 star app.

Problems Uploading and w Crashes - depotwest
The program is not crashing for me, it is simply no longer able to upload large files. I am attempting the iDisk copy as the developer has suggested, and will see if the copy completes in full. The error I consistently get about 2/3's into a large file upload with FIlecute is a -100 .mac error, saying it can't access my account. There is no problem with internet here on my network. Gallery uploads and so on to .mac go off without a hitch.
I see there is a connection timeout setting in FIlechute that is set at 60. Kind of wondering if altering that would make a difference too.
I have used this program for almost a year now, and it is simply brilliant. Ease of use is perfect, and it has saved me a whole lot of work.
Hopefully we'll see an update that addresses these issues. If it's a .mac problem then Apple better address it. Still a great piece of software and I highly recommend it.
One other person did mention bandwidth throttling and that might be useful too when you have other things internet-wise going on.
Thanks for the great software.

Problems Uploading and w Crashes - jerrykelk_dotmac
Hello,I'm still running Tiger and I'm having the same problems. Apple has been doing work on their servers and that's what is causing the problems. FileChute is not the culprit. In fact, I've tried uploading large files to my iDisk using the Finder, Fetch and SpeedDownload and they've all failed as well. Hopefully apple gets their act together soon or I might have to look for a new server. My renewal is up next month and I'm not too thrilled about this situation. So, we'll see. Here's an email that I received from Apple. Perhaps the instructions will work for you. They didn't for me.Dear Jerry,
I apologize for our delayed response time. Due the popularity of the new features of .Mac, we are receiving a larger number of requests than expected. I appreciate your patience.
It sounds like the issues you are seeing may be due to intermittent connection errors to .Mac services, especially iDisk. I would like to see what happens if you try to copy a large file to your iDisk in the Finder.
If you are using Mac OS X local iDisk synchronization, please disable it prior to performing the test. If you are unsure whether you are using the synchronization, first close any open windows, then from the Finder Go menu, choose iDisk > My iDisk. If your iDisk appears on the desktop labeled "iDisk," then you are using Mac OS X local iDisk synchronization. If the iDisk has your member name instead, then local iDisk synchronization is not enabled.
To turn off local iDisk synchronization in Mac OS X v10.4:
1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
2. Click the .Mac icon.
3. Click the iDisk tab.
4. Click Stop to turn off iDisk Syncing.
5. Close the System Preferences.
6. Restart your computer.
To turn off local iDisk synchronization in Mac OS X v10.3:
1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
2. Click the .Mac icon.
3. Click the iDisk tab.
4. Deselect "Create a local copy of your iDisk."
5. Close the System Preferences.
6. Click "Turn off local iDisk."
7. Restart your computer.
After disabling local iDisk synchronization and restarting your computer, please try the following test.
1. While in the Finder, choose Utilities from the Go menu. When the Utilities window opens, double-click the Disk Utility application to open it.
2. From the File menu, choose New > Blank Disk Image.
3. You will see a New Blank Image dialog. Enter this information:
- In the Save As field, enter "test" (without the quotation marks).
- From the Where pop-up menu, choose your desktop.
- From the Size pop-up menu, choose "Custom." In the Custom volume size dialog, enter "400" and make sure "MB" is chosen. Then click OK.
- Keep the Encryption pop-up menu set to "none."
- Keep the Format pop-up menu set to "read/write disk image."
4. After reviewing the information you entered, click Create. A disk image named "test.dmg" is placed on the desktop.
5. Quit Disk Utility.
6. Connect to your iDisk by choosing iDisk > My iDisk from the Finder Go menu. The iDisk should appear on your desktop showing your member name.
7. Open your iDisk and navigate to the Documents folder.
8. Copy test.dmg from your desktop to the iDisk Documents folder.
It will take some time to copy the disk image to your iDisk Documents folder. Please allow the image to finish copying.
If you see a specific error message while the image is copying, please reply to give me the exact text of the error message. If possible, please also send me a screen shot of the error as it occurs. These will help me isolate the issue.
