Why would that be required for iTLC to function?
Can it not simply scan the designated Music folder
location, and compare that to Library contents?

All my music files are in that one folder... BUT,
when we keep that folder on other volumes, we
do NOT want that checkbox checked!!!. (It is a
very confusingly-worded pref... thanks to Apple).

Anyway, the iTLC concept is great... I just don't
get the rationale for such limitations.

Important question: iTLC *never writes anything* to
any of my music files or iTunes Library files... right?

Requirement: "Copy files to iTunes Music folder"... - Richard Dress

Could you explain this point a little further? I keep my iTunes Music Library on an external drive and back it up to yet another external drive. I have the box checked for "Copy files ..."Sometimes weird things happen: fragments appear and maybe files dissappear.

Should I not do this?

What should I do instead.

I am anxious to understand what the H is happening in iTunes.

Cheers
Richard

Requirement: "Copy files to iTunes Music folder"... - Edward_Patel

Hi,

Thanks for your comments.

Please keep in mind that this is a freeware and my initial purpose of writing it was to check my own iTunes library. I did some extra work in getting it to, hopefully, be useful for others and it's still free. My collegue got to free up 1.3GB on his laptop, so that was a nice gain he thought. I have a version with a "move to trash" feature but need to check that it is somewhat safe for release.

Yes, current official version (1.0) does nothing else than "reads" stuff and cross check filepaths.

Regards
Edward
