I've been using VTpro for more than to years right now. Sorry guys, but your software is a disaster actually. I can't remember when a COMMERCIAL piece of software has been that buggy. Want some examples?

Version 4.2 didn't run on Leopard correctly. So I updated to 4.5 - Problems gone? Beware! Just a lot of more...
Version 4.5 crashes nearly every time I try to exit the program
Version 4.5 sometimes crashes while scanning the disks
Version 4.5 sometimes crashes when I choose "ignore" from the contextual menu to skip an actual update
Version 4.5 doesn't recognize all my software
Version 4.5 doesn't remember my password on my Intel Mac. On every startup I get a message like "password incorrect"
Version 4.5 is damn slow. Hey, do you remember how fast version 3.x has been? No, I won't change my settings to "software I use" - your product isn't able to find ALL my software, why should I limit the (incomplete) results some more?
Version 4.5 doesn't show up some version-numbers correctly - this is an know problem - has never been fixed
Version 4.5 has an ugly GUI (ok, that's not a bug and it's just my opinion)

That are just the points which come to my (frustrated) mind at this moment. There are still some more bugs. Hey guys at VT, do you remember that you get our cash year by year? You are offering a payed service - so I want to have some advantages of paying for this. Your product has been really great some years ago - but with every new version we get more trouble. Seems that you are not interested in happy customers. Where are the positive effects of being bought by cnet? I can't find some at the moment.

I've read some of the responses from VT to some other comments. Most of them sound like "contact the support". No, I woun't. I already HAVE contacted the support via email. I got no response for three days or more. Hello? Someone there? What's about contacting ME? You know my email address...
And: Don't tell us the usual things - I HAVE reinstalled the software. I HAVE trashed all preferences and the watchlist. I HAVE updated to the newest version of VTpro. Well, what about going back to work and producing a piece of software which is running fine?

Yes, this comments are hard. But believe me: Actually I'm REALLY angry how things are going. And I'm (no joke, no kidding) thinking about changing the software-service I use. You all know that there's another one right away...
So: actually I can't recommend VTpro :-(

Regards,
Philipp
