I think the previous comments need a comment.
It is true that FDC does not keep up with all the new protections introduced almost monthly by the various studios etc.
This application both rips and compresses. Therefore it should not be compared with DVD2Onex which only compresses and does it very well.
It is true that the appl is expensive and (therefore!) the protection of this application is cumbersone. So much so that recently I switched to a Mac Intel and rather than going through the process of having the appl authorized for a new machine i switched to DVDShrink on Parallels. It works better and it is free. Even AnyDVD which rips EVERYTHING costs much less. Unfortunately at the moment if you need to rip DVDs you have to stick to Windows applications

or the number one app, 'Mac The Ripper'. (You may have some trouble getting hold of some of the others).
