Saft is a very useful piece of software, but take care when purchasing that you buy the right version. Since the recent release of Leopard, and the release of Mac OS 10.4.11 which includes Safari 3.0.4 for Tiger, Saft has split into three different versions, and the developer of Saft, Hao Li, has implemented a very arrogant, unfair, and poorly explained upgrade policy. If you are an existing customer who owns the Tiger version, you don't need to upgrade to get the Saft for 10.4.11/Safari 3.0.4 version of Saft. But if you DO upgrade so that you can download the Saft for Leopard version, then Hao Li refuses to let you download the 10.4.11 "Tiger" version - even though that version of the software is newer than the Leopard release. Are you confused reading this? Exactly. His upgrade policy is completely confusing, and his attitude is - if you upgraded to Leopard and still need to download the 10.4.11 version of Saft, then you're out of luck!

Saft upgrade policy - Wayne_Walrath_838
I'm frustrated as well. Finally ran the pending updates for my 10.4.x Mac which took me to 10.4.11 and Safari 3.0.4. Saft refuses to load; I visit the vendor's website for an update, logged into "my account", but unable to make sense of how to get an update, I eventually paypal-upgraded to the Leopard version. Sure.... call me an idiot since I knew I wasn't on Leopard, but as someone else mentions, it's incredibly confusing and oddly, punitive. I don't even care about spending another $6 for the upgrade that I can't yet use, just give me an update for the older OS X if one exists. My only interest in the software originally was for restoring my tabs on restarting Safari, and to a lesser degree, the shortcuts (which I can live without). It now appears that Safari has a "restore" option on the History menu, so I will likely initiate a paypal dispute if I don't get a response to my email to the vendor.

Hao Li was very quick to contact me about the same issue. He sent me a link by email for the Tiger version of Saft for Safari 3.0.4. Here it is:http://haoli.dnsalias.com/ld/d.php?saft_tiger_safari3
