Yojimbo is an excellent application, so far. But it's not clear whether Bare Bones will develop it further. There are improvements to be made. And, Leopard compatibility isn't 100%. For example, every time Yojimbo loads under Leopard - for me at least - it must rebuild its index. That means loading takes several minutes each and every time.

I looked at Filemaker's new "bento" database. But it does not allow one to store PDFs in the database itself, it appears. What a shame, and glaring shortcoming.

I use Yojimbo daily, with 2,000 stored pdfs related to my work. These are lengthy documents.

Leopard compatibility issue, further development - kalkwarf1

We are still working on Yojimbo. The keyboard preference problem under Leopard will be addressed in the next release.

If you have other problems with Yojimbo and Leopard, please contact support@barebones.com and let us know. That's the only way we'll be able to address it.

Yeah right! The support from this developer really stinks. I'm still waiting for an answer from the developer and I have been emailing them for three weeks now, they still haven't bothered answer me.

I have to agree with ymalmsten. I'm a long-time user of BBEdit (over 10 years), and paid for the latest upgrade online in September 2006. Unfortunately, the final order page told me the new serial number was "Not Available." So I email BB support and Digital River support. And hear NOTHING. I finally received an email later with the new sn. I don't know if they received my email and acted on it quietly, or if that was how the process was designed and they ignored me, but it was not good either way. I'm looking for a new notepad for Leopard right now, and remembered this one, but now I'm going to keep looking around first.
