Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Have a 20 inch iMacG5 with 1GB RAM. Ran Disk Utility to verify drive and Repair Disk Permissions before I installed 10.4.11. I did not do so after the installation. I attempted to open Safari and did not even get a splash screen when it crashed. Occurred twice and sent a report to Apple.

Safari Crash fixed--remove Safari Tidy and FLVR first - d_link

Upgrade stars to "4". I discovered that I had not removed all Safari additions. I dumped FLVR and Safari Tidy components from all Libraries and Safari 3.0.4 now opens and operates. Remember to remove any and all additions to Safari before major upgrades (I failed to follow that advice this time, but everything was quickly remedied).

I don't know which addition caused the trouble. I have updated to Videobox, the new version of FLVR, but have not checked on Safari Tidy yet.
