I used this and it only accounted for 46 Gig out of a total of 78.4 Gig ? on my HD

While in Finder...press command-shift-G, enter /volumes, click on "Go."

Chances are you'll find your missing disk space. (Wise foresight keeps WhatSize from looking in /volumes.)
