Since Leopard my Finder suffers Alzheimer's. It can't find a simple file, i.e. plist files in the Preferences folder unless I'm already in the User/Library. The weird behavior of the new Finder ticks me off. I'd rather tolerate the long time it takes to search the whole drive for one file than fighting with the new Finder.
Thanks!

In the finder spotlight interface, the option you want is 'System Files' to make it look in the Library folders.Look under the popup that by default reads Kind, choose system files and add it to your favourites so it's always accessible.
