Difficult

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

This programme was clunky and difficult to use. I mourn the passing of macplamap for my use - only runs in classic.

This one seems not to display all the features of a plamid even when downloaded from Genbank as advised. Hard to edit, very labout intensive. Probably easier to draw a representation in Powerpoint!

The cutting and pasting of fragments is somewhat counterintuitive, no facility to easily have only commonly used restriction enzyme sites displayed. Doesn't display where gene features begin and end.

Sorry, but this one doesn't get my vote - better I think to beg for some commercial stuff.

Difficult - iayork

(1) Could you send me an example of a plasmid from GenBank where all the features were not imported?

(2) Preferences does offer an option to select only commonly-used restriction enzymes. Unfortunately it is a bit tedious to do this but it only needs to be done once, then you can select your own preferred set of enzymes each time. Future releases will include more pre-defined sets of enzymes, as well.

(3) Gene start and end should be displayed (it's a toggle-able option, but the default is to show positions). Could you send an example of a file that fails to show ends?
