Very helpful... especially since this is one of the most secure ways to prevent disclosure of your files (which could otherwise easily be displayed on your desktop or worse... a fully displayed image; important form; etc. if the Finder quits and reverts to what you were looking at recently EVEN IF THE FOLDERS/FILES ARE INVISIBLE/HIDDEN!). In addition to AES... I'd also add that you should definitely use an app like this one to prevent someone from 'accidentally' deleting the AES DMG by simply dragging it to the trash! Ouch! Or... if you already have XRay (or a similar app)... to change the flag on visibility so the folder/file is invisible, and then use an app like MainMenu in order to show-all/hide-all invisible files and folders when you need access to it.

Good point MacDefender... BUT! - Ron L

When I said... "...this is one of the most secure ways to secure folders/files..." I was NOT refering to this app or any app that SIMPLY makes the file invisible. I was rather referring to what MacDefender had suggested which is to use Disk Utility to create an UNcompressed AES128 DMG or even better yet... an AES256 DMG which will open very quickly since it is UNcompressed. Even GB folders open very quickly this way... in a matter of a couple seconds. ONLY then should you hide the AES DMG.
