Intuit, the maker of Quicken, has apparently discontinued a feature in all versions of Quicken-- their News Alert service... little clickable icons next to your tracked securities that link to articles concerning your specific stocks. There is a discussion thread at the Quicken website with many unhappy customers... customers who used this feature who are now being ignored. This "outage" occurred in the past and was later restored, but now it appears to be permanently offline since it has not been working since before May of this year. Intuit's response has been "we're working on it", "we are very sorry" and that's it. Nothing more. The service is still offline as of today, Nov. 10th, 2007.
I would post several email responses from Intuit's support representatives, but it would only be a waste of space as they are singularly un-helpful.
Intuit has the worst customer support representatives I have encountered... all workers in India who speak English, but clearly don't understand (or don't want to understand) the problems you are trying to communicate. They are extremely polite, but completely useless. You have been warned.
