Why would you make an app that is not even needed... It's like making an app that teaches one how to chew bubble gum.
What do I mean?
Well well well... Print to PDF is built into OSX. You go to a page and print it. The sheet will drop down and PDF will be an option in the bottom left of the window.
If you wanna get fancy you can have Preview save it out as a jpg, tif, gif, or png.
Nothing wrong with reinventing the wheel. But when you charge for it make sure that it's not so easy to reveal that you are taking advantage of the general n00b population.
No I have not tried it... I also have never tried smoking crack, yet know it's not something that I want to use.
And no, I'm not comparing DropImageURL to smoking crack... or am I? :)

I haven't tried this app, but from some of the comments it seems like some folks don't understand the description, (which <i>is</i> poorly written). It sounds similar to Paparazzi!. It's not like printing a PDF (which uses the print stylesheet of a web page, usually resulting in a PDF that differs from what you see on the screen.) It's more like taking a screencap of a web page, but without the browser chrome.

Yes, that's what the desciptions means:"<i>images</i> a web page into graphics files" (such as JPEG, TIFF, PNG, etc.)
Is that what you mean by "poor"? Although I like your description which uses the term "screencap" I'm not certain that's any better, but I may
use that.

DropImageURL is similar to other programs available, in that the fundamental goal is the same. However, I don't see how that should preclude any other developer from taking the same goal and providing it in another format.
When I write software I do not start off thinking if this has been written before. That's because even if it has, I am sure my incarnation will be different in one or more ways. And I know this is true for DropImageURL.
DropImageURL is part of the Limit Point Software Utilities Bundle : http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html. Purchase a Utilities password to activate all the utilities, including DropImageURL. Updates are always free, new products always included.
So, if you don't like DropImageURL, or it offends you, ha ha ha, maybe you'll like something else in the bundle. give it a try!
Enjoy.

Here are some differences:1) Your method requires more work. What could be easier than a one step process? Moreover...
2) True, Preview can export to graphic formats, but it doesn't export the whole page as one image, but rather individual files for each page. This program creates one image of the whole HTML page.
3) This program has options such as scaling and batch processing.
I can think of many programs that have the same or similar feature set, but their methods, enhancements, ease of use etc. are different. Wouldn't it be a boring world otherwise? And by the way, there are other programs available that do this too.
Next time you should try the program before reviewing it. Moreover, your review is lewd with references to crack and the acronym "wtf" that don't belong here. Have a little more courtesy when writing "reviews." This isn't a blog.
Finally, DropImageURL is part of a large suite of software called my "Utilities" bundle. Make a single donation and get a code that unlocks ALL of them including DropImageURL. See more here:

The utilties bundle is always growing. The latest release was "WebSentinel" - http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities/WebSentinel.html
