I've been using Transmission for months now and 0.9x is just plain broken. Just now Transmission 0.92 crashed on me while running in the background. I restarted it and a file that was over 900 MB downloaded before the crash was only 190 MB downloaded when Transmission started up again.

I find it impossible to recommend Transmission.
