A previous reviewer commented as to why doesn't it show the month AND date in the dock. I agree. If the developer fixes that issue, hey, I'd pay for the program.
Also, when you uninstall, it freezes the icon on your iCal application to the date iConiCal was installed. I tried using iConiCal's preferences to change the iCal icon, it simply changed the one in the dock.
I ended up reinstalling iCal from the last 10.4.10 update
iConiCal
Set iCal's icon to the current date in a choice of colors.

Well, NO it doesn't, at least using 10.4.10 on a 24" Intel Core 2 Duo.I used your "Restore Icon" feature and my dock icon was restored, NOT the application icon. After deleting iConiCal, its preferences and related files, restarting the computer, THEN restarting the application, iCal's icon didn't change.
I grow weary of developers inferring that users are either lying, or we're hallucinating when we report bugs with your programs. Gee, is it at least POSSIBLE your application doesn't work?

I you re-read my post, I clearly didn't say that you were lying, but I suggested the most plausible reason. If the iCal dock icon when iCal is closed is the 17th then iConiCal has done what it should - this is the same icon which the Finder uses. Does renaming iCal not making any difference?
You could also trying getting info on the application and deleting the icon. I haven't seen a problem in this area before so please do let me know how you get on.

Well, guess what? I'm having the same problem. I'm REALLY tired of looking at a dock icon that proclaims "22." I'm also tired of the permissions repairs. So how do I get my old icon back and pretend that iConiCal and I never met? And why is it that unlike virtually every other freeware app I've tried and trashed after I've wearied of it, this one has left a scar? And what's all this I hear about "renaming?"Friday, December 28 2007 @ 06:37 PM PST

Actually, iConiCal does restore iCal's icon when you use the restore option. The Finder caches application icons however, so until you restart or rename iCal etc, the icon will show the cached icon.I was planning to include the month in the icon, but given that this would require a huge amount of coding, I have decided not to since Leopard now updates the icon automatically, so I would be developing for an ever decreasing user base.
