You've got to hand it to the author of this code... he wrote two useful programs to work together when he found there was nothing out there to do what he (and I) needed.
So, I use this on a MacBook Intel machine (which didn't have dual monitor mode, except for mirroring displays) and I use an iBook G4 (both Tiger) as the second display. I also installed Screen Spanning Doctor, on the suggestion in ScreenRecycler troubleshooting section. That suggestion alone was worth a lot.
On price point... even if a second monitor would work here, $30 is a fair price to pay if this is what you need - either to put a second computer to use as a second monitor, or to get dual-screen capability when it would otherwise be impossible. Or don't pay the $30... it's still usable.
