Given that I am in Sales, my database is my life blood. A while back, I tried the v6 of this, and it mangled everything, and created HOURS of work to fix. Version5 was buggy, limited features, and occasionally did odd and dangerous things like randomly deleting contacts from the database.

They did try to support me, but in the end, they said they would back rev me to 5. They never offered to or gave me a refund for the failed upgrade.

Now several months have passed, and they issued the V6.1. I tried it. It mangled my data yet again. I had just ocmpleted updated my entire database of 1300+ contacts, and they were gleaming. I "overwrote the handheld" for the past 3 days. I had a problem in August with Plaxo mangling things, and I ended up with 2300 contacts that needed to be scrubbed down to 1300. Fun. Another story though.

After a live Sync, it somehow pulled the other 900+ contacts out of the closet, repopulating my database with all the crap that I had just scrubbed. And.. the the bad news is ... there was no good back up.. ARGHHH..

Mia culpa on the backup, but seriously.. this product is downright dangerous. I am sick of them, and YOU ARE WARNED NOT TO BUY THIS PRODUCT. THERE IS A HIGH LIKELIHOOD YOU WILL LOSE, MANGLE, or DESTROY your data..

BEWARE AND STAY FAR AWAY.

Why hasn't APPLE done a better job of getting these basic handhelds, (PALM, WINDOZE MOBILE, & SYMBIAN) to better utilize the native iSync? Missing Sync really is garbage, and it is dangerous garbage. I have half a mind to find a good attorney about it, since this has created down time for my sales productivy.. day and days of man hours of down time all told.

BEWARE: STILL A VERY BROKEN AND DANGEROUS PRODUCT - spollak

This is a wholly unfair comment. I've used Missing Sync for Palm with Daylite, and the synchronization is terrific. I've never had problems with Missing Sync. None. And I am one of the more active, and long term Mac users around (since 1984). Regards.
