I have version 1. It's fine for me. I open an app, and usually, after watching when and how it communicates, I'll give it permission. It'd be nice to be able to click "tell me about something unusual" here, but I understand the problem.

The beta I've tried just keeps on chattering forever. It's interesting to watch for a while, and there should be a mode where you watch all traffic, whether you've permitted it or not. But then, only if there's an unusual outbound request that's out of the normal pattern for the application.
