After a default install, & with typical Adobe arrogant aplomb, this patch installer tells me that it failed because I have disabled or moved some resources from their default locations (From where; the Developer's hard drove, presumably?)
Even after waiting an extra year for this 'fine wine' to age, it's in-my-face weekly with an unfathomably bizarre interface informing me (I think) that there are additional updates… This is the most-expensive Alpha software I've ever been tricked into purchasing!

perhaps am a little late but what solved it for me was to first update to 8.10 then to 8.11.Monday, November 05 2007 @ 07:27 PM PST

Thanks! This solution worked for me. Go to Adobe Acrobat's mac update page, download the 8.10 update, install it (wait a long time), then try 8.11
