"Somehow" our Canon IXUS deleted the snaps my wife took on a trip to NYC - granted she may have had something to do with the pics going missing. Regardless, these were rather important pics to her. I downloaded (and subsequently bought) Card Raider. In a few clicks, her snaps had been recovered. The wife was happy again.

Easy to use and intuitive software that recovered the deleted pics. Just what we needed - and for only £10 a great bargain. I am sure it will come in handy again.

Your wife may not have been the problem. I had my Canon SD1000 lock up in the cold on a mountain climbing trip in Alaska this summer. About 1/3rd of the images and videos on my 8GB SDHC card went missing by no action of my own. I'm still mystified as to what happened and it hasn't happened since but I was able to use a similar product (Data Rescue II) to recover the images. I wish I'd known about this product though as it is cheaper.
Now if someone would make a filter that could identify the data of my missing videos...
