For me, Drag Thing is unexcelled. Whether or not Drag Thing is better for you depends on how you use your computer. Other than writing ditties like this, I am apt to be sitting back in my comfortable office chair with my right hand on the 7-button, 2-scroll wheel mouse. In which case, I move the cursor to the right, choosing the category I want (Folders, Utilities, Communications, Graphics, Multimedia, Games, DB/Reference, and Applications), and double click on the icon of choice. Besides running the application, I can locate it or get info about it. Drag Thing also handles spring-loaded folders. Need I go on? If you're strictly a keyboard person, well then Quicksilver may just be your cup of tea. Overflow is a nice file launcher also, but for me, it took more steps than Drag Thing. Choose what you will based on your style of working and you'll be a happy camper.

With all the extras you employ with your computer, I'd imagine that the photo here captures the essence of your work area nicely :-)

And please remember, this is a joke, not a flame! Your comments were quite good.
