I used to really love DragThing, but it seems that Quicksilver has replaced its need for me. Can we get some usage scenarios, samples and so forth that might help breath life back into it for some of us? I'd really like to see some novel and varied uses put together in some instructions and or screencasts that may shed usage light on this from those who make/use/love it so much.

I looked at Quicksilver and it doesn't look like it's even supported anymore. Dragthing is constantly being perfected and works great!

Quicksilver is for people who can memorize lots of key commands and type quickly. That is not me. I like DragThing because it's a pretty visual thingie to easily click. I need my purely visual thingies.

Although DT can do key commands too, I think?

DragThing is basically a Dock replacement. If you favour using the Dock and mouse, but find the Dock’s shortcomings limiting (especially in Leopard where the Dock’s usefulness has been seriously diminished), DragThing is a great little tool. If you’re keyboard oriented, you’ll want to use Quicksilver, Butler, or one of the other keyboard-oriented launchers.

I out my most often used apps in my Dock, but I don't want too many in that, so the rest goes into a DragThing Dock with 8 tabs which sits off the right side of my screen. When I need it I hover over there and it opens. I have 8 categories of apps.

I also use LaunchBar and Fruitmenu as launchers. LaunchBar is great, but for apps with similar names it's a pain. I put things in Fruitmenu that I would have had in my Apple Menu, like printers, scanner software, etc.
