Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: NO

I was trying this as a demo, and it produces some nice layouts. However, I asked presales questions twice and got no replies. I even had my questions deleted without being answered. While I thought I might enjoy this program for fast cookie cutter creations for low budget clients, the lack of response and the concern over the upgrade charges makes me wonder if the program would be worth it. If that is the expected level of support, can't endorse the program no matter how much or little it costs.

Sorry that you've had this problem. In my experience, the support forums on the RealMacSoftware site have been superb: They're monitored by some of the nicest, most helpful users and designers one could imagine. The product itself is truly astounding, and the user community is friendly and always ready to help new users, patiently replying to questions and even writing (and posting) code for others to use.

I suggest searching the forums, looking for 'expert' users, and posting specific questions to them. Most forum posts also include user profiles, and many of those profiles have links to the user's RapidWeaver site(s). Maybe email one of them directly. (Understand that RealMac is a small shop based in the UK; there may be a time lag between your posts to them and their reply.)

Plenty of support - Jeff Mincey

I want to add my strong agreement to the one who speaks in favor of the good support forum of this product. I find the user community to be very robust and the developers themselves are remarkably responsive in light of the demands placed upon them. This is a very good product and the documentation and support is more than ample.

No support - ashleykaryl

I've purchased items from the developers of Rapidweaver and written to them on two occasions a couple months back. Once to report a bug and another time about a sales tax issue. To this date I have never received a reply.

Don't Walk, Run Away From This App - kcwookie

I purchased this app as part of MacZot's April 13 bundle. The authors updated to 3.6 less then a month later. They posted that anyone purchasing the app after April 1 would receive a free upgrade. I asked about it and since I got a discount I didn't get the free upgrade. They took my money knowing that I would be forced to pay an upgrade fee within a month of purchase.

I consider that ethically challenged and would suggest you shop elsewhere.
