Shows more amperage and cycles in System Profiler, but now, my MBP will suddenly shut down when the battery drains to about 88% (from a full charge) and will not turn back on. The battery itself even shows 4 out of 5 lights charged, yet the machine WILL NOT turn back on unless it's on the AC adapter. Worse yet, if you install this and try to 'roll back' by reinstalling battery update 1.2, it won't take. Once you DL and install 1.3, you're stuck!! What a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE piece of software. INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!

That review was from 2007 -- so it does not apply to this update anyway. VT must have misplaced it on this page!Monday, March 02 2009 @ 03:43 PM PST

You must not have read the requirements. Nowhere on the page does it say it is for a MacBook Pro, it always says it is for For MacBook (13-inch) models. This update improves the ability of MacBook batteries to maintain a charge when the system is shut down and not used for an extended period of time. Additional Requirements: MacBook (13-inch) MacBook (13-inch Mid 2007) MacBook (13-inch Late 2006) MacBook (13-inch Late 2007) MacBook (13-inch Early 2008) MacBook (13-inch Early 2009) MacBook (13-inch Late 2008)Reply to This
