This new version seems to lose connection with the networks very often...and thus far, the only way I’ve been able to re-connect is to quit the application and re-launch

I have the same problem here. The program loses connection unexpectedly and the only way to make it reconnect is to quit and relaunch the application. It's VERY annoying indeed. Hope its author finds a solution to this.
