I paid for this product chosing the download option. Little did I realize that, once you reach the checkout page, you have *no* option for delivery except picking the UPS International Overnight. Since I had chosen download, I paid too little attention and wound up with an extra 26 EUR delivery charge. Together with the recommended backup disk, I paid more than 90 EUR.
Once I had downloaded the software, I found it crashes EVERY time I try to boot it. I run System 10.4.10 on a Dual 2.7 GHz G5. I wonder if I'll get my money back ....
My advice: Don't spend your's on this ripoff junk.

Waste of money - hayesk
Your issue with the shipping charge is not relevant here. What does that have to do with you giving one star, for example, to "Stability"? You may be a disgruntled customer, but that does not help us judge the actual quality of the software.Your ratings should be withdrawn.

He clearly states the app crashes every time he tries to open it.... that strikes me as an obvious stability issue deserving of the one star.Tuesday, October 30 2007 @ 04:29 AM PDT
TRY THIS FIX - palm_beach_florida
If PopCorn or Toast Crash on startup You...can go to the Library and go to the QuickTime Folder and remove
many of the component's that are causing the conflict. I have
these installed in my computer and Toast Works Fine.
I had to remove at least 5 of them, some Apple, some DIVX, Some XVID,
but it's OK because the Perian will do the work of many component's.
So if you start removing the oldest component's one by one, you will
get Toast or PopCorn to work in 8.0 or 8.0.1 or 8.0.3.

hope this helps some of you.

I agree. It seems as if Roxio needs to get their act together with operationally and their customers are suffering because of it.Shop elsewhere.

..Just wondered why you have not updated your apple system software to version 10.4.11 !? it's been out for some time, perhaps it's causing you a problem or 2 in some other applications..just hope that this may help you, always good to keep the OS up to date !Saturday, November 22 2008 @ 02:50 PM PST

..I almost forgot !..as i side note I have kept all of my earlier versions of Toast titanium..7,8,9..as I have had problems in the past and been able to burn or use an earlier version..so I too must profess to not having a lot of faith in them still. Let us not forget that this is a software product that was developed by Dr. Marcus Fest (Miles Software GmbH) and distributed by "Astarte", then in 1997 got purchased by "Adaptec". (Makers of Easy CD Creator) ..then transferred to "Roxio"..so needless to say they have been playing with this in Windows platform for a while, and let's face it..sometimes it takes a while to fit the pants..overall they seem to have a fairly good product, it may just be the growing pains ; )..I feel it still is one of the better programs out there, nice easy GUI so lets just let the company know ! send them an e-mail ! I do it all the time !..and a big shout out goes to our fine friends in the land of.. "Mac The ripper " ...Arrgggh !

Oh, and Roxio does have a return policy. It doesn't, however, appear to apply to the additional "recommended" software or to the (superfluous) delivery charge.I certainly hope I'll be able to find a similar prdouct somewhere else. Roxio gets none of my money ever again.
