save as earlier versions?

Feedback Type:  Commentary

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 6-12 months

Recommend Product: NO

Is there a save as CS2 option yet? If not, upgrading to CS3 continues to be a real problem. I don't know about Adobe, but I live in a world where I work together with other people/businesses.
There's no way I can expect all of them to always have the latest version.

save as earlier versions? - richard155

I believe you have to export it as an "InDesign Interchange".

Hello,

I agree with you entirely.

What I do not understand in Adobe's software politics is the fact that Adobe Illustrator CS2 for example is offering me the choice to "save a docucment as" a CS1 or a CS2 file.

In all Adobe InDesign versions however, this option does not appear at all.

Exchanging document files in different software vesions has become essential in todays business life. Especially in the case when you are working closely with different printing services and agencies. You simply cannot expect everyone to work with latest release. It is far from reality.
