The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (Pub. L. No. 107-204, 116 Stat. 745), also known as the Public Company Accounting Reform and Investor Protection Act of 2002 and commonly called SOX or Sarbox; is a United States federal law signed into law on July 30, 2002 in response to a number of major corporate and accounting scandals including those affecting Enron, Tyco International, Peregrine Systems and WorldCom.It has absolutely nothing to do with requiring antivirus on a personal computer.

Because this protects your Mac, not just Office.Because other people use Windows and you can be a carrier, even if you don't get infected.
Because assuming you can/will never get a virus is arrogant and ill-informed.
Because NeoOffice supports VBA.
Because it already detects the OSX-specific Inqtana and Leap.
Because you are a virus-writer's dream.
