Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Ok, what am I missing here. Here is a free download of a branded version of Perl. Perl is a standard part of Mac OS X.

Why would I want to download a non standard Perl installation?

OS X one is 5.8.6 - Ilgaz

I think it has something to do with version numbers and highly optimised perl with lots of features built in. If you install, you notice it is more like Java with lots of modules etc. downloaded on demand.
