I have 20 distinct pages on my website all with as many as 200 links per page. If I do it a page at a time, it will test each without complaint, and won't crash. If I try to test with more depth, that's when it crashes. What really amazes me is the speed of the software. It navigated 200 remote links in under a minute! No delays running from a remote website to test my own, and very few false positives. If it crashes on a single page, maybe it has Flash, or some non-HTML standard plugins added. With straight HTML it is happy as a clam.
