Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: NO

I am concerned by the fact that iGlasses enters code into ALL active applications, even those that have nothing to do with iGlasses or video. I have decided to uninstall iGlasses some time ago because of this.

Exactly what I said. I corresponded with company that made this program and they confirm it. By email to me they say they do indeed load code into all cocoa applications, regardless whether or not the program has anything to do with cams.

No need to be so paranoid.

In your Applications folder is a folder called iGalsses.
In this folder is an application called iGlass Manager.
Use this to select individual applications that you want to be web cam enabled with iGlasses.

Sheesh, you have good grade tin foil there huh?

As you can see from this email exchange with them last year, they acknowlege that iGlasses installs code in Cocoa apps, including TinkerTool (which has nothing to do with cams or video). It even caused an issue of getting error messages. They do not indicate here there is any way to exclude specific apps from having this code installed in them.

I do not wear a tinfoil hat, I have a brain and I use it.

Hi Greg:

iGlasses and Conference Recorder do load code into Cocoa applications so I wouldn't be surprised if you get a warning. This is just how they work since they're plugins. Sorry for the trouble.

Thanks,
Ken
