No application to download - kfcunningham_dotmac

I've been using this for several years now with good success. I've contemplated making an installer package, but ultimately haven't. There are details about installing and using this software that require a fair whack of configuration. I think if just the process of compiling it is daunting, perhaps it's best it not be used at all.

After all, download, decompress, ./configure, ./make
... how hard is that?

You really need to read the instructions for this one. Having said that, once it's set up it generally works like a charm, and has been reliably sending faxes for a long time now. There are a few hitches -- the modem used to hang on sending every once in a while, for example, and the software would need to be restarted to get things going. This hasn't happened for some months now, though, so perhaps one of the more recent updates has fixed this.
