This is not better then using Disk Utilities to clone a bootable slave. In fact I use SuperDuper and it does the same and with it's smart copy it clones a true clone.
I tried Carbon Copy Cloner shortly after it can out. Something went wrong and I lost everything. I lost very old family photos that were loaned to me and now I can't ever get them again.
When I contacted them they told me to go search around in some stupid forum and if I was lucky I might find someone that had the same problem and if I was really lucky. I wasted 3 weeks on that with nothing but a bunch of other poor saps.
In short, there is ZERO support for this application.
With SuperDuper, the guy replies with very good help and super fast. But SuperDuper is not a complicated mess like this app. So if you want a true safe clone that you can trust and not have to be a geek to run it, Go with Disk Utilities or SuperDuper.
Leave this one for the people who like complicated risky apps.

SuperDuper FUD - Reson8tor
CCC is a great app and just got better. Ignore the CCC bashers who push SuperDuper as better it's just the typical FUD these poseurs like to spread. Try CCC out and for judge for yourself!Tuesday, September 18 2007 @ 07:16 PM PDT

CCC is a GREAT application. Its interface is intuitive - you do not have to be in astrophysics to figure out how it works. How it was possible to lose your data using this app is beyond me, really, it is. My experience tell me that an awful lot of times those who complain the loudest simply do not use their apps properly. RTFM, dude!Tuesday, September 18 2007 @ 09:31 PM PDT

I fell into the trap once of responding reasonably to one of his posts before looking into his posting history.Don't waste your time with these diluted rants, he's just that crazy old guy who keeps the local kid's soccer ball if it lands in his back yard.

Yes. His history reveals he is a total troll. - bosskev
You are SO right about this guy. His posts are not "grumpy", "cute" or even "impish", although I am sure he thinks himself quite the raconteur entertainer. No, his posts are just the wild, illogical, random and/or inappropriate ramblings of a "I need attention" dullard. Unfortunately, his posts are also quite frequent. I'm astonished that VersionTracker continues to even let him post given how much he does to trash VT's credibility as a resource.Wednesday, September 19 2007 @ 12:03 PM PDT
Unbelievable ! - Moonwatcher
Lost very old family family photos that were loan to you ? And you didn't make a copy backup first ? Wow....who's to blame here ??? Really !Wednesday, September 19 2007 @ 07:46 AM PDT
How do you lose loaned photos? - anothersphere
How do you lose loaned digital photos forever? Really wierd comment!Your disk must have been seriously wrong before you started to clone it if you lost everything. Have you even used this new version you are slamming?
I have used previous versions and while not perfect have acheived what I need which is a bootable clone.
Obviously as I am not an idiot I ensure the disk is ok before I start using disk utilitiy, not doing so would be seriously stupid.
