Okay, enough of this kill-the-ringtones-update stuff. I suggest that Apple release an iPhone-free version of iTunes ...call it iTunes Light or whatever. That version should have no iPhone capability whatsoever. Then Apple can do battle with the ringtone busters/hackers/whatever-they-are all they want without annoying the vast majority of us that, for whatever reason, do not or will not have an iPhone. Then Apple could release updates on the hour for all I care.

I am getting real tired of these massive updates that seem to occur nearly every few days now.

Excellent idea. Why should we all have to subject ourselves to potential new bugs while Apple fiddles around with features that only apply to a subset of the product line?

Besides- nothing <i>lowers</i> my faith in a software product more than bursts of several updates in short order. It would be great if VT would post the average patches/month or patches/week for the apps listed here, to make it easier to tell which developers tend to release undercooked products..
