Apple,
Just accept the fact that there will be ringtone hacks and move on. Please stop being greedy and adding these updates that "fix" ringtone "problems" (problems for you, and not the end users). I don't even own an iPhone so please stop annoying us with these "updates" just so that you can sell more ringtones. Thanks for considering.

Tired of Updates due to Greed - w i n t e r m u t e
I like Apple, I have an iPhone, and I completely agree with the previous posts. Stop the silliness. Apple should learn from its own successful market strategies... if you make it easy and convenient enough and offer a fair value, people will buy ringtones via iTunes (just like iTunes music versus Napster). Don't try trapping us into buying ringtones only from Apple... we already paid quite a bit for the iPhone and 2-year contract. Many of us have also paid for sound editing software and feel we have the right to make our own ringtones and put them on our iPhones without additional cost.Monday, September 17 2007 @ 04:36 PM PDT
Tired of Updates due to Greed - Nick Ker
I am also a long-time Mac user and now an iPhone owner and I agree. This is getting silly. It is even siller for me - I don't even use the ringtone feature of iTunes to convert songs - I use it to add nice, clear, LOUD ringtones of my own creation to my iPhone. I could understand the copyright issues with commercial music, etc., but the least Apple could do is provide some decent "normal" ringtones if they are going tomake it difficult to add your own.Monday, September 17 2007 @ 04:50 PM PDT
