Now Contact allows the creation of notes for an individual contact. When exporting data, only two formats other than Now's proprietary file format are supported - text and vCard. Although the field "Notes" is selectable for export to text files, only notes of type "Note" get exported (not events which are type "Appointment".) In addition, while the content of the note is exported, the metadata related to the note such as the note's date, time and duration are not exported at all.

Essentially, once you begin keeping notes in Now Contact, you're stuck in Now Contact or you lose data on export to switch to another program.

Think twice before getting involved with Now Contact!
