Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: YES

I like WiFind. I think it's the best of its class. It's handy and elegant. It's reasonably priced. I paid for it.

When putting a new version out, however, it's customary to tell users what is new. On VT and on your website. Did this never occur to the developers?

So I figure that newer is better, and d/l'd and installed 1.3. The installer button said "Upgrade", which I took as a good sign. Upgraded fine, no logout/restart required, and it now says "1.3". Kewl. BUT - it also says "TRIAL VERSION (Expires in 15 days)". There's a button that says "Please register your copy". Pressing it does nothing except highlight the button.

C'mon, guys, is this the thanks I get for being a paying customer?

I just encountered the same problem. Did you ever get this resolved?

No, it's 6 weeks later and I've received no reply to my post here or to the email I sent to the developer's tech support. Too bad, it's a great little utility.

OK, I downloaded 1.3.2 and the "Register" button works, but still says I have a trial version. It tells me to drop my license file into the window to register the program. I went back to my original purchase confirmation email and saw that it included a download link to an installer, which was supposed to give me registered copies of all 1.x.x upgrades. OK, my bad originally for not digging enough. So I click on the link and get a 404 error, they've changed their registration scheme. Nice if they'd tell registered users about it and provide an upgrade path. I suppose I could send them another email...
