I read that Eudora is a plug-in for Thunderbird, but I'm not sure what this means, as there's a dmg available for Eudora. Does this mean that if I go to Thunderbird now (from mail.app) that I'll be able to easily switch to Eudora on final?

You might have read that Penelope was a plugin for TBird, but Eudora is a standalone app.Virtually identical to TBird, containing absolutely none of the old Eudora functionality and flexibility.

Thunderbird and Eudora use the same mailfolders (Library > Thunderbird) so you can easely switch from one to another.Tuesday, September 11 2007 @ 02:27 AM PDT

Virtually identical to TBird, but a standalone nonetheless.
