I love the Germans. They always do everything right. Papyrus is one of my best word processors. Keep up the good work.

Ist Goot - osos10

The Germans ALWAYS do everything right and Mellel politically rubs you the wrong way. You are either extremely ignorant or one of THOSE who really believe that the Germans always did everything right. I suppose that the first choice is the right one as "it is good" in German is "es ist gut".

Ist Goot - Bill D

The previous poster was a bit snide. Yes, Mellel is a good application. There are elements of Mellel that I prefer to Papyrus 12, although overall I would rate Papyrus as somewhat more powerful, especially for its spreadsheet capabilities.

The trouble with Mellel, as with most word processors, is that it uses just another one of those proprietary file types. Want to share your Mellel document with a friend? Oops, he can't read your email attachment because he doesn't own Mellel. He'll have to send a response telling you that, and you'll have to convert your file to a format he can read and resend it.

The developers of Papyrus had a stroke of genius. Their hybrid PDF file type will let you send a document to a friend as an email attachment, and he can read it whether or not he has Papyrus. No conversion required.

If Mellel could do that, I might buy Mellel.
