I am not sure why this is labeled as an intel release because the application is a PowerPC application. However, I'm also not sure what the heck some of the other reviewers are talking about. I downloaded, the application, installed the app for my scanner, launched it, and had a document scanned all within about 10 minutes. I had my second document scanned a minute later. Seems like a no brainer. I'm running this on a 17" MacBook Pro.

I had endless trouble trying to get it to work more than once, and then for two different user logins.I tried turning off launching EPSON Scanner Monitor at login and so far it seems more reliable (Mac OS X 10.4.11, iMac Core 2 Duo). It's not clear to me that that background process is needed at all, because it works OK without it running as verified in Activity Monitor.
If I could find a free scanner controller to replace this (there are TWAIN drivers around, but a simple application to control scanning would be good) that ran as a native Intel process, that would be great.
