Worked fine for me, but you have to reboot after installing. At least that was my experience on a MacPro 4 x3.0Ghz.

the failed to allocate bit is a permissions problem. You have to control/right click on your virtual drive image and select show package contents. Then change permissions on all files inside to read/write for everyone.
This happens mostly if you try to share the same pc image/settings between multiple OS X users through the shared folder. It pops up when a user tries to use the pc after another account used the same pc and saved state. If you shut the pc down before switching users, all is fine.
It makes a lot of sense that users would want to share one Windows install that way, I really don't understand why this is such a persistent problem. I wouldn't think it to be a very difficult thing to fix either.
