Recommend Product: YES

Google Earth should be for the Earth alone, and maybe create another app of Google Stars.
To consolidate the Earth and Stars, it should be named Google Universe.
Otherwise, it will just bloat the app for those not interested in the stars.
More chances sof bugs and crashes.
Separate the two and just let it be lean and mean.

I think the application hasn't changed much: it just loads a new database, which doesn't lie in your HD, and it works in the same way.
