I have an iMac Intel, 2.5 MB RAM, OS 10.4.10
Recently I tried to download on my internal hard disk an old movie (in which play a small part) with the software that came with my iMac. I copied the disk before but always had to open the media before I could play the movie, so I thought I would eliminate this extra step by using MacTheRipper.
Well, after downloading, installing, and using MTR, not only do I get the message now that "the media is not supported" every time I try to play this piece. I cannot even get the original copying tactic to work either, always getting the same message of the media not being supported. The same goes with a disk I burned. The original disk still works without any changes.
Has JTR has changed something in my software? If so, what? How can I undo the damage?
Help would be much appreciated, especially if MTR could be made to work on my system as it is supposed to.
Thanks.

Yes there is a Universal version. Look around at the MTR forum and figure it out.http://www.ripdifferent.com/phpbb2/viewforum.php?f=26

I believe the software is simply not compatible with an Intel processor Mac. It is too old for that, and nothing indicates that it has been updated into a Universal Binary version.Much to my own disappointment, because I too have been looking constantly at this software when receiveing VTracker's newsletters.
All other software developers have designed (or are doing so) an Intel compatible version of their programmes.
Why not this one???
