What's the story about the AirPort Base Station Agent update...the third part of this package? According to MacFixIt, it's located in /System/Library/CoreServices but my OS 10.4.10 install doesn't even have a CoreServices folder. Further, Spotlight doesn't reveal such a folder in any other location.
Is the folder dependent upon the hardware it's installed on by chance (PPC here)? Or is it a hidden folder?
Everything is working fine after running the 2007-002 update and there's a USB drive hooked up to the 802.11n AEBS which mounts OK.

Look in the right place... - Andreas..
Spotlight won't find items there, and you must be looking in the wrong place... your Mac wouldn't be running without some of the items in CoreServices.System/Library/CoreServices. NOT the main Library. NOT the Library in your home.

Look in the right place... - torbu
Hi - I tried to follow these instructions and copied something manually into the Coreservices folder. However, I did this from Apple's most recent Base station update (-002). I received an error msg that it couldn't be completed.I didn't bother about the error yesterday. But now my iMac G5 PPC doesn't work anymore. A reboot only launches the console window. No Mac OS X GUI.
I used the Disk Utility from the Install Disc to check the file system and it didn't discover any issues. I also tried holding the SHIFT-key after the Boot sound to boot in safe mode, but I still only get to the console prompt.
Any advice what do you and how to fix this?
Thx!

Ah, thanks, found it. Was looking in Library/xxx vice System/Library/xxx. Looks like it updated to version 1.2.1.Further looking shows Spotlight doesn't search that area.

Well done! - Andreas..
Excellent! Glad you found it.Re "Spotlight doesn't search that area" - why, Oh why, Oh why can't Apple make Stoplight (!) simply search everywhere? Not in system items, not in Finder-invisible items, not in your Home… Sheesh!

CoreServices folder - sjk
Re: … but my OS 10.4.10 install doesn't even have a CoreServices folder.Check again; OS X would be unusable without it or maybe able to run in a single-user mode at best.
