Works great with osx 10.4.10 & w580i from Rogers!! Though the address book add-on will not remove skype's hold on sending sms and calling from Address book (so save the extra £1.49 till this is fixed).

The Address Book Enabler is not supposed to, nor should it, remove any of Skype's functionality. So this is not something that needs fixing.

If you don't want some of Skype's features, you should un-install or disable them.

It would not be right for any one companies software to remove another companies softwares features.

That's one perspective and I don't say I disagree with you. That being said the address book enabler has a script included to reset address book functionality so it's claiming to do just that. Remove another companies hold on the address book. It doesn't work for Skype. This extra £1.49 program claims to do something it can not (under specific circumstances true). That to me is a bug that needs to be addressed or a featured mentioned before the customer buys this add on.

I think you have misunderstood the function of the supplied "Reset Address Book Pairing" utility.

All it does, is make Address Book forget which Bluetooth mobile phone it is currently paired with, allowing you to choose another for SMS and Call functions. This is a feature which Apple has not included in Address Book.

As Skype sends SMS messages via its own network, not via a Bluetooth mobile phone, it has no effect on Skype's SMS function.

I don't know why you think sending SMS messages via a connected Bluetooth mobile phone has anything to do with sending SMS messages via Skype's network. They are totally different methods and both can live and work happily together, so there is nothing that needs fixing.
