I like the idea of this tool. It's unobtrusive to have an all purpose drop box in the menu. I often, will just save or copy items to the desktop when I'm in a hurry. ShoveBox does not let you really do that. You have to be in an app where you can drag stuff to and fro and into SB. So if you're on a webpage and want to save an image you can drag it to SB. Then later, you'll have to EXPORT it to somewhere else.... not very intuitive or maclike.
It would be cool if you could be anywhere, an app., a page, the desktop/finder and just drag stuff to SB and actually MOVE it there. (Instead, it currently COPIES the file to its own location, I don't want or need 2 copies.) Then it would be nice if SB let you open a well organized thing.... say a folder, that had other things... say nested folders, neatly organized by file type, name, whatever. This would be fast and efficient. Currently SB is neither.
Perhaps 1.5 will be. I'd like to see it do some or all of these things.
move actual files
move any and all files (currently it's only specific types)
keep them well organized in a series of nested folders
allow me to then open that nesting and do what I want with them
allow me to set the labels of and creation of the nested folders
