seamonkey on my OSX - megaloch

The version 1.1.3 and for a time this version of Seamonkey as well did not open at the top left next to the blue apple, except for Seamonkey itself but without preferences or any application. When I was eliminating the 1.1.3 version today it froze up my Applications window when I was attempting to move the cursor up the left column up to Documents and Desktop from Application (as I was trying to eliminate all versions of 1.1.3). I called Apple Tech and we could not find any problem with my unit; but the Tech support said that perhaps Seamonkey was corrupted, and that I had not properly deleted all old versions of it. How does one get rid of old versions of that and Firefox?

Another thing. Seamonkey was opening as a default server; whereas I had Firefox marked as the default instead. At one point I had 2 latest version Seamonkeys in my Dock; but lately I noticed I am getting the full readout for 1.1.4 next to the blue apple ~ perhaps it self corrected.

problems eliminating version 1.1.3 - megaloch

On an OSX how does one properly get rid of old versions of Seamonkey and Firefox. I noticed my left column in the Applications Window froze when I tried moving the cursor up or down from Desktop to Documents, etc. attempting to eliminate all vestiges of Seamonkey. The 1.1.3 version did not properly open top left next to the blue apple and was defaulting as a main server even though there was no System Preference set to any thing of any kind.
