7.3 updater has caused total chaos with working Quark 7.2 installation causing Mac OSX to crash - something I've never before experienced. Intel Mac Pro with 10.4.10 and all latest updates. Very unhappy - I'd recommend you wait until this mess is sorted.

Total and utter crash--SOURCE, please! - bosskev
As of today, 8/5/07, neither Quark nor Linotype have any mention of this conflict on their respective Websites nor in any other forum that I've been able to find. Could you please be more specific as to WHO (Quark? Linotype? your neighbor's kid?) made this statement?Sunday, August 05 2007 @ 11:47 AM PDT

I just made it up...No, or course I didn't - Quark Crash Help Support asked for a copy of my crash logs from 7.3 and told me the problem was incompatibility with ver 1.37 of the Linotype FontExplorer XT. Having made sure the problem was repeatable they asked if I could send a copy of the corrupted XT. I guess there's nothing on their sites because both parties are working on a fix. In the software world you don't admit something is broke until you can mend itWednesday, August 08 2007 @ 03:34 PM PDT
