Just a thought - afterhours

Traditionally, version numbers are updated every time there is any change in the source code for a project. Full numbers are often used to denote overall feature sets (e.g., v 1), where 'dot' releases (v1.1, v1.2) denote changes, additions or bug fixes to the overall existing feature sets. When a developer elects to use even smaller demarcations of versions (v1.1.23, v1.1.24), this indicates small changes and builds that only address bugs without anything new.

But each developer is welcome to use their own system.
